Wednesday Apr 17, 2024
Wednesday Apr 17, 2024
In today’s episode we’re discussing the places Black women have felt powerless and what we can do to change that narrative and take our power back. In our current book, Red Lip Theology by Candice Benbow, she mentioned that her friend helped bring her back to life during a time when she needed it most. We also discuss how having the proper support system that pours into you can heal whatever negative feelings you may experience.
As women, some places of the places where we've experienced powerlessness includes:
• Home and Family
• Relationships
• Workplace
• Education
• Healthcare
• Church
Taking your power back looks like:
• self-reflection
• accountability
• seeking support from your community
• education
• practicing self-compassion
• taking action
